I practice karate & I wear glasses. This is not a happy combination - I spend too much time picking my glasses up off the mat. So I went out & bought a pair of sports goggles, they stay on but fog up something fierce. (My *opponents* like sparring with a blind man, though... ;-) For those who don't practice the Ancient Asian Art of kicking-below-the-belt: it is the *ultimate* workout. You sweat an unbelievable amount, making this a true stress test for anti-fog goop. I tried an old spray-on I use for my motorcycle face shield - but that did next-to-nothing to help.I hit good ol' Amazondotcom & found the three highest-rated anti-fog products & tried them out on successive weeks.NUMBER THREE is the artfully-named "Cat Crap" When I first tried the cat crap antifog lens cleaner, I was dissapointed. I used it on my helmet visor before going to work. On the way to work, it worked fine. On the way back it was not so good. So, my initial reaction, was like "Ok, it is like its name implies. Crap.".However, since I bought a dozen of these, I decided to give it another try. I applied the thing on the right half of my visor and went to the office. It was working!!! The left side was fogging like hell, the right side only fogged once and cleared almost instantly. After a few more runs, I came down to this: It works fine, if you apply it before leaving for a ride. It won't last a whole day. In the evening, you have to reapply. It takes a couple of minutes to apply it, but the good thing is, you have the best visibility ever, even in the rain at night. Much better than with a visor insert. So, to summarize, the pros: 1. very good visibility, 2. you can also use it on your glassesThe cons: 1. You have to apply it every few hours, 2. Some times it fogs, but if you crack the visor a bit it unfogs instantly.I primarily use this stuff for my prescription safety glasses that I use on a construction site. I have only used it a handful of times because it simply isn't always necessary to use.It takes a few minutes to apply the paste on my glasses and then wipe the excess off. After applying, I can see through the glasses perfectly and there is no noticable odor. The product seemed to seperate a little bit while in my toolbox, but the container was sealed enough to hold the moisture in the container. I would be hesitant to have this container in an environment where it may get crushed and/or tumble around.Overall, this isn't an amazing product but it seems to do the trick. I only wish that I had a little more faith in the container not cracking open.I saw this recommended on a cycling forum and I thought it was a joke (Cat Crap). I have problems in the winter with my cycling glasses fogging up, obstructing my vision somewhat terrible (like I'm blind). This stuff works great, easy to apply. You might have to put it on a couple times a week. It also works very well on prescription glasses. I just wish the small container was a little bit larger. I ended up buying two more so I won't run out. Funny thing -we have a cat and he was attracted to it's container and he stole it. We found it under our bed after searching for a week. If a cat likes it, it must be good....cats are known burglars....they need cat handcuffs...This stuff gets my glasses cleaner than they've ever been. Fog prevention? Just barely good enough that I continue to use it; however, I would forget this stuff in a second if found a better fog stopper.Works great on my Sporti Swedish racing swim goggles. The original anti-fog wore off long ago. Cat Crap made the lenses good as new. Mixed results on my prescription Spoggles. When the wind is blowing, Cat Crap seems to help. Still gets some fog when its cool out, but Spoggles do not breathe. Don't be fooled by the name. It does not have stinky stuff in it.Seems to keep the fogging down on my goggles. Doesn't last very long though. I'm still using it but always on the search for something better.I work as a underground lineman. Most of the times the manholes are hot and and humid and I'm always sweating like crazy. I kept having to take my safety glasses of. I bought a thing of this and put it on my safety glasses about three weeks ago. They didn't fog at all in that time. It's a little expensive but I'll keep a constant supply of it because it works!
